Barnes & Noble December Book Drive to Benefit Clubs

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

Bel Air, MD (Nov 29, 2010)- During the month of December 2010 customers at Barnes & Noble in Bel Air, MD will be able to donate purchased books to local Clubs.

In partnering with Barnes & Noble this holiday season Boys & Girls Clubs continues to emphasize the importance of every young person achieving academic success.  "When individuals think back about to their childhood and the first book they could read it was a magically moment" said Randy Acosta, Executive Director, "it is that same moment in the life of the youth we serve when they have the chance to own, for some, their first book.".

Any county resident can help by sharing the gift of a book at the Bel Air store checkout.   The books collected this holiday season will go directly to youth served at the Clubs four branches in Harford County.  In addition books will be used to boosting the Clubs reading room collections to encourage year long reading.
